The boxing match between star American YouTuber Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) and British light heavyweight Tommy Fury (7-0, 4 KOs) will take place on August 13. Such information, based on the data of his sources, was shared by the influential British functionary Eddie Hearn.
“I don’t represent them, but I heard the [Paul-Fury] fight is on August 13th so you can see it,” Hearn said. “They’re both very limited, but that doesn’t matter because it’s a competitive fight.”
“Jake Paul is a weird guy, but I love what he does for boxing. We did the Amanda Serrano-Kathy Taylor show together and it was a hell of a lot of fun and also very successful,” said the promoter. It works and it’s not terrible at all. But it will be a nice day when someone puts it on.”
Recall that the fight between Paul and Fury was scheduled for December 18 last year, but then Tommy refused to enter the ring, citing an injury. As a result, Jake had a rematch with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and severely knocked out the veteran.
Earlier, Jake Paul announced the fight and named 6 contenders with Mayweather and De La Hoya on the list.
